SEO is a much maligned industry and with good reason. The rise in awareness of SEO by website owners has been more than matched by a proliferation of snake oil salesmen claiming to know the secret to search engine domination. This article provides some basic guidance for figuring out who to trust and who to avoid. It will help sort the real SEO specialists from the fly by nights.
Search engines have a very tough job. Not only are there billions of web pages for them to find and index there are also a steady stream of people intent on fooling them into ranking poor quality pages higher than they should be. To many that’s what the SEO industry does but in fact this is where smart website owners can win out.
The search engine optimisation snake oil salesmen seldom talk about quality, only numbers. To them link building is a numbers game, content creation is a numbers game and this makes it very easy to filter them out when evaluating a company to handle your SEO work, assuming you haven’t decided to do it yourself.
The single most important factor where SEO is concerned is content. Well researched well written content will contain the words and phrases used by people searching for what you offer, but that’s not all. This same content will make finding links easier. Confused? Well answer this, when was the last time you read content, decided it was useless but decided to link to it anyway? I’m guessing never. High quality sites don’t link to low quality content, why would they!
This then is the key to differentiating between reputable and ethical SEO companies and the bad guys. If they don’t talk about quality content they are not worth talking to because if they claim they can rank your site whatever the quality they must be using dodgy techniques. This approach will inevitably hurt you no matter what anyone says and here’s why.
Google lives or dies by the quality of the search results it returns for a particular query. If they don’t constantly strive to improve their index their results will become less useful and there are plenty of other search engines such as Bing and Yahoo who desperately want to take market share away from Google. So it follows that the quality of your site matters because Google is working every day to make sure its results are high quality.
In a nutshell look for SEO organisations who talk to you about creating great content and you’ll avoid the bad guys.

This author believes in taking a quality approach to SEO and his company Red Evolution only work with firms who are prepared to follow this philosophy. As recognised search engine optimisation (SEO) specialists with a high profile website they attract many unsolicited emails from companies offering search services. Almost without exception these organisations don’t take the high quality approach.
Website owners should apply the same rigour and due diligence they adopt in other areas of business when looking for help with SEM. There’s no such thing as a free lunch and there is no such thing as a low quality website dominating search results for any length of time. Don’t waste your time, do it right from the outset.

There are precautions that must be done when you are going to do an SEO article. Let us enumerate the types of market there is in an online home-based business and the type of keyword that you need to use.
1.Already part of the same business. Use keywords that would help their online business. Keywords like trainings, product names, MLM gurus, how to acquire leads would be best. Because this type of market is already in the business and only needs things to increase their profits.
2. Considering being part of an MLM business. These people are those that are still contemplating whether to pursue and be a part of an online business or not. The best choice of keywords would be company names, leaders and trainings. They need to be well informed on the real deal of the business.
3.Searching for answers/solutions. These are the people who are searching for the solutions for their problem. What they do is compare products. Best keyword choices are those pertaining to names of products, some product reviews; you can even incorporate some of your new products wherein you need to present the unique selling point of it. You need to make them see that these are the best choice and nothing else.
4.Specifically looking for no one else but YOU! Well you should be proud of yourself. These people are after you so you need to be wise on choosing keywords. The best ones are those that have your product names, marketing systems and training systems. Make the most out of it.
There you are the types of markets that you need to bear in mind when choosing the right keywords. It may be hard at first but the point that you are into doing an online home-based business means that you have what it takes and this part would be just like the same aspect – difficult but fulfilling.
So, go and start looking for the right keywords for the right type of market. This will help you to be big into this kind of venture, good luck!

https://decker64byers.webs.com/apps/blog/show/47110032-how-does-google-determine-what-is-displayed-in-a-search-result

One of the most common questions I am asked is how I am able to take a brand new site into Google’s Top 5 for every keyword my site targets within 4-6 weeks of creating the site without getting sandboxed.
Time and time again I see panicked webmasters screaming that their new site has disappeared from the Google results pages. Now sometimes there are obvious reasons why (such as using blackhat methods or mass posting via xRumer) but this doesn’t mean that you can’t build the number of powerful links you need to penetrate Google’s Top 5 or even the Top 3 without having to wait several months.
Now if you are new to SEO and you are unfamiliar with the Google sandbox then we are talking about what happens when your relatively new site that so far has been steadily climbing the rankings, suddenly drops back to page 10 of the results or beyond, or in some cases disappears from the Google search results pages entirely. The Google sandbox is particularly devastating as it can be 6 months to a year before the site recovers its rankings and in some cases a site never regains its rankings no matter how many backlinks you build to it.
So what does this mean for your SEO strategy?
For most people it means building links slowly to your new site and these links need to be low strength links with a high amount of trust in the eyes of Google. This includes getting your links from places where you need to submit original content such as article directories. Within the first 4 weeks of launching your site, large numbers of high pagerank links are out as they say, or are they?
So what is the 100% proven method that advanced Search Engine Optimizers use to “push the pedal to the floor” for the backlinking campaign of any new site?
Unless we are a complete raw beginner online, most of us have at least one site that we have already created that is indexed in Google. As long as we have a site that has been in the Google index for at least 3 months then we can make use of this powerful method to gain instant trust for our new site. Our existing site doesn’t have to have a high ranking, preferably it has some backlinks to it but if it doesn’t again that is ok, it simply needs to have been in the Google index for at least 3 months.
If you are not sure if your existing site is in the Google index, try the following search in Google: Site:www.yourexistingsite.com
If your site and its pages come up as the search result then you know that your site is indexed by Google.
So here is the simple but powerful method to gain instant trust for a new site you intend to build:
Step 1: Create a subdomain on the existing site that is already indexed by Google and upload some fresh original content to it.
The subdomain should be related to the topic of the new site you intend to build and the original content you upload can be a short article (around 400 words or so) that links the topic of your existing site to the topic of your new site. This formula for the article on the subdomain is my personal favorite as having keywords from the old niche and the niche of the new site in the one document makes more sense to a Google spider to justify the steps that we are about to take below, however any original article will do the trick. I like to write something along the lines of a press release that is announcing the new site and what it will be about and why I decided to come up with the new site after the success of my existing site…. And so on. Remember this article is mostly for the Google spiders rather than human visitors so it doesn’t have to be a Pulitzer prize winner!
Step 2:
Create a link from the homepage of your existing site to the subdomain you have just created.
Step 3:
Wait until this new subdomain is indexed by Google.
Again you can check when this subdomain has been indexed by performing the “site:www.subdomain.yourexistingsite.com” search.
Step 4:
Place your new website on its destination domain.
Step 5:
Create a 301 redirect from the subdomain to the new domain
Not sure what I am talking about when I say a 301 redirect?
A 301 redirect is the Google friendly method of telling the big G that your site has permanently moved to another URL. Search engines do not apply penalties to 301 redirects as they tend to do to other types of redirects. The best part is it is simple to do.
Open a new text file in Notepad and add the following line to it: “Redirect permanent / http://www.newsite.com “
Then save this file as “.htaccess”. Make sure you get rid of the “.txt” that Notepad attaches to its files and have “all files” selected in the file type.
You can then upload this.htaccess file to the subdomain and it will now redirect to the new domain if you type the subdomain in any browser.
Done!
Obviously some common sense has to prevail here. The more backlinks and the higher the pagerank of your existing site the more trust we pass to our new site. However the method is extremely powerful and I have used it to obtain countless first page rankings and consistently get rankings in the Top 3 of Google. In fact it is one of my standard methods in my SEO strategy when I want to create a new site.

Now we have successfully created instant trust for our new site and we can begin to build greater numbers of backlinks and more powerful backlinks with pagerank with confidence. This is how your serious competitors are blowing right past you in Google – now you have the knowledge to step up to the plate and take them on at the same pace!

The majority of website advice and articles are targeted towards making money and business minded people. Search Engine Optimisation is largely a science aimed at generating traffic for websites- but this is mostly done with the aim of increasing revenue for the owner of the website.
However not all websites have the aim of building revenue. Church websites certainly don’t fit into this category. Many churches are non profit organisations and a large number of churches are interested in sharing their message, and they rely on donations and will ask for them, but they view their websites in an entirely non commercial way. In fact because of this, many churches and religious organisations don’t even have websites, although this is changing.
Church websites are largely information based. This information is aimed at converting a person, encouraging a person with religious thoughts, providing religious materials regularly (daily bible reading etc) or to push a certain stream of thought. Many local church websites are also used to encourage church attendance in their area. Because of the purpose of church websites, traditional commercial promotional methods are often not used.
Many religious leaders ignore popular marketing advice or advertising systems (such as Adwords) or other forms of website promotion because is intrinsically linked with commerce – but this is a mistake. In particular Search Engine Optimisation should be a large (if not the most important) priority in the building of an information based website.
Search Engine Optimisation has several components to it – the external which involves link building and other off site activities. It also has the internal which involves on-site optimisation. This second component is crucial to church websites. This takes the information about a local church and optimizes it on the website so that it captures traffic from Search Engines in the Local Area. This is likely to and does lead to new people attending churches.
Let me give an illustration. In my home town of Mt Morgan, in Queensland Australia, I built a very simple church website for Peace Apostolic Community. The site has audio sermons, church newsletters and a blog and that is all.
I optimised the site with keywords that relate to its community, and to its activities so that local people who search for those activities will see the church in the listings. So a new person moves to Mt Morgan and is looking for a church to attend, they type into Google “Mt Morgan Church” and the website for Peace Apostolic Community is displayed prominently at the top in the Google Local Listings (more on this in a minute) and then further down in 6th position as well.
No special promotion took place to achieve this position – there was no link building campaign or advertising blitz. This result is simply a benefit from on site search engine optimisation.
In addition, Google offers local businesses and organisations a Place listing. This is a free service and each church should list for their community. This increases the chance of being found in searches like the one described above.
The benefits from search engines come begin with proper optimisation of websites using keywords, and this should be a priority for church and religious leaders. SEO simply means taking the time to determine the proper keywords that are appropriate for a website, and including them in the right places like titles, page names, headings and so on.

This article may be used without permission but a link to the church website designer page must be included.

SEO (“Search Engine Optimization”) is where you take a website and do the things that Google & the other search engines love to see & reward with top ranks. Knowing what makes a site rank well and knowing all the tricks to getting it ranked to the top are what professional SEO experts have taken many years to learn, but this simple tutorial should give you a great idea of what to do and how to automate the process.
The first thing you need to know about SEO is that it’s almost all focused around links to your site. Many people focus on making their site look pretty or with lots of keywords… but the fact is that if you want to stand any chance of getting a top rank, you need to get links to your site – and lots of them.
The number one factor is search engine ranks is the number and quality of links that a site has. The links to a site are seen as a “vote” of authority and respect… which the search engines reward with a boost in rankings. The more links you get and the higher quality links you get will make the search engines think that your site is getting a lot of attention and deserves to be seen by more people.
Getting links is the best way to boost your site’s ranks. However in order to get a top rank, you need quality links. This is where SEO professionals come into their own – because many of these people have a long list of contacts and resources where they can get a lot of high quality links. One-way links from websites that have a high readership and a high “PageRank” are the best types of links you can get. An example of these links include a mention in a news report or a link from a blog post.
In order to get your site ranked to the top of the search engines, you should focus on getting as many top quality links as possible. However, this can be costly and time consuming. Which is why you may wish to look at “link building systems” to give you a more efficient solution. There are several services where you can sign up for a small monthly fee and have many high quality links built to your site on autopilot. If you wanted to get a high ranking, you might want to think about one of these services as they can save time and money in the long run.

How Long Does It Take Google To Recognize Your Links

If you’re building links, you may be wondering how long it will take Google to recognize those links. What many people don’t know is that some links may never be found unless you do something about it. Let me share that something with you quickly.
If Google doesn’t know that your link is on a page, it won’t actually cont for much.
So how do you get your links on those pages recognized?
When submitting content or links to some sites, you won’t have to do anything at all. A lot of sites get indexed within a few hours without having to do anything at all to your links. It’s a great idea to participate on sites like this that get indexed on their own, because it makes less work for you.
Other sites aren’t so easy to get indexed. For example if you’re doing a profile backlink, it’s not likely to get indexed on it’s own. With a link like that, you’ll need to take some time to get the link indexed.
Wait a second… indexed?
The easiest way to see if a page is indexed in Google is to take the url of the page your link is one, and put that into the search bar and search for it. If the page is found, and the results return with a direct link to the page, then your link is indeed indexed.
If your link is not found, then something needs to be done with the link to get it indexed.
So how does a page get indexed?
I’m glad you asked! Indexing isn’t as easy as it used to be. A few months ago, you could put all of your links into an RSS feed, and submit that feed through RSS submission sites, and ping your links.
Unfortunately this method isn’t working as well as it used to.
The best way is hands down to build more backlinks to your backlinks. Yes, you read that right, you need to backlink your backlinks. If this sounds like a lot of work, it really isn’t if you’re doing it the right way.
Something else you’ll want to keep in mind when you’re building your backlinks and checking on them to get indexed is that a lot of the free tools that check backlinks aren’t very effective.
We all like to take a look at another sites backlinks to see how many it has, and that’s one of the main reasons at best you’ll only see 10% of your links show up through those tools.
The Yahoo tool has been the most popular for a really long time. I’m not sure why though when most people are worried about ranking in Google, they’re checking Yahoo to see how many links Yahoo recognizes! But I myself do this too… I’m still not sure why though.
I’ve done SEO services for clients, backlinked their backlinks, sent them a report of the links for them to check after I verified that 100% of the links were indexed and they responded asking me why none of the links were showing up in Yahoo.
So keep in mind that these tools aren’t very effective, and you wouldn’t want them to be! Just imagine how much easier it would be for your competitors to outrank you if they knew every single of the sites linking to you.

The world of SEO is ever changing, and if you really want to get a big jumpstart on getting your pages ranked fast, save yourself years of learning.

OK, the first thing to remember is that Google AdWords and Google Search are two completely separate entities, they are just displayed on the same search page when you make a search.
Many times you here “I removed Google AdWords and lost all my rankings” with people touting conspiracy theories on how Google makes them keep paying for AdWords otherwise they will lose their organic rankings. This is complete nonsense however!. Read Google’s official line on this subject.
Just so you sleep well at night I would like you to know that there is no big Google AdWords conspiracy and anything that happens to your web sites rank in the organic listings is completely separate and unaffected by Google AdWords .
Google Organic search uses the search engine spider Googlebot. Google AdWords uses the search engine spider Google Mediapartners. Just check your server logs and you will probably see both at one time or another.
Google AdWords uses a completely different ranking algorithm and pricing model to rank Ads than the Organic search uses. Google AdWords uses something called Ad Rank which is based on a quality score and a cost per click value.
Another interesting fact is that you can have an AdWords account without your site being indexed in the Organic search. Surely this fact alone should convince people the two are not related.
So, you can rest safe in the knowledge that your Google AdWords (or AdSense for that matter) account has no effect positive or negative on your Organic Google search results.
